Card Share and Blog Candy

Hello My Friends,

Sharing a Valentine card done in the hostess clubs this month. We used the chalk board technique, which is to leave smudges on the card to resemble chalk dust on a chalk board. So many possibilities with this technique! Here's a couple of views.

stamps: Hearts a Flutter, Delightful Dozen
card stock: basic black, whisper white, red glimmer
ink: craft white ink pad, white signo gel pen
punch: owl (used the heart)
misc: cherry cobbler baker's twine, white embossing powder, sponge

Tuesday Techique Workshop

I have a technique class which is held on the last Tuesday of each month. We only do two cards, each focusing on the same technique. Last month we focused on viewing punches in a different light.

The punch we used on this card is the Heart to Heart. It has 3 different shaped hearts on the one punch. This card measures 5.5x5.5 when finished.The flower is made by punching 6  hearts. The flower was made by first by punching 6 of the long shaped hearts.  Punch a 1" circle and adhere the hearts to the circle. Add a button to the center top to complete the flower. Very easy but this is something new stampers aren't familiar with and seasoned stampers haven't done in awhile. Here is the inside.

VALENTINE SAMPLES

My second favorite holiday will soon be here. It's Valentine's Day. It will be here sooner than you think, so there is not much time to make your cards. Here are my first samples for cards.

These cards are not the standard size. The finished size is 3"x6".  You need to start with 12"x12" cs cutting 3" strips, then fold in half. I purchased envelopes at Kelly Paper company. Over the Christmas holiday, I mailed some cards this size and was happy to find there was no extra postage due to the size.

Supplies:
stamps - Filled with Love
paper - basic grey, shimmery white, blushing bride, love impressions dsp (new occasions mini pg 7)
ink - basic grey classic ink pad, blushing bride marker
misc - blushing bride 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon, stampin' dimensionals
