A New Class

Hello My Friends,

Thanks so much for all the well wishes. I'm doing much better and back to working at my desk. I have a new series of classes coming up at Stampin' From The Heart. The first is actually a week from Sunday, on March 7th. It's called a Big Shot Class. You will learn how to use other companies dies, such as Spellbinders Nestibilities and Cuttlebug, in the Big Shot. Call the store at 310-391-0466 to register. Here is the project for the first class. It's a new take on the star book using the Nestibilities to make cutouts to place dangling messages. Cute? I think so.

New Class Added

I just added a last minute class to my September schedule. How excited I was to be able to grab this date that was recently vacated by another teacher. I will be teaching a Cuttlebug class at Stampin' From the Heart on Saturday, September 19th at 10:30am.We will make 7 cards. Cost is $40.

Bring your own machine, whether it be Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Big Kick, or Side Kick. If you don't have a machine but still want to take the class, we have 6 machines. You have to sign up at the store and state you need to be provided a machine. And yes, we will use some of the new embossing folders released this summer at CHA! So contact the store to reserve your spot - 310.391.0466. Hope to see you there!

Tattered Christmas Cards

Hello Stampers,
Just wanted to log on to show you a couple of cards done with the Cuttlebug and Tattered Angels.

Tattered Angels in the Cuttlebug?

Isn't Tattered Angels a liquid?

Isn't that messy?

Yes, Yes, and Yes...oh, but soooo much fun!!! I've gone a bit crazy with "acquiring" all those beautiful bottles of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. I absolutely L O V E them. I also love the Cuttlebug, so I decided to combine the two. The technique is simple. You need to have plenty of card stock panels and some paper towels on hand.



Simply spritz your card stock with your background color. ( I usually do my spritzing in a pizza box as not to spray everything else on my desk.) Next you want to spritz your Cuttlebug embossing folder with your accent color. About 8-10 spritz should do it. Take your finger and spread the glimmer mist around. Let it pool inside the recessed areas on the folder. Lay your previously spritz card stock in the folder and run through the Cuttlebug. Remove and set aside. Use your extra card stock panels to" wipe up" the glimmer mist that oozes out and what is remaining in the Cuttlebug folder. Can't let even a little bit of that paint to go to waste!!

Last Christmas card classes for the year

Hi Everyone,

In my last post I mentioned subscribing to my blog. Well, some of you ran into a technical snag when you tried to do so, while others were able to complete the process. The link has been reported for repair. Once it's fixed, I'll let you know when you can subscribe.

As promised, here are a few pics and class updates for the remaining of the year.

CUTTLEBUG CHRISTMAS CLASS
On Monday, December 15th, I have a Christmas Cuttlebug Class at the Senior Center on Culver and Overland at 1:00 pm. Some of you missed this class when it was held at Stampin' From the Heart. Cost is $25. Here are a couple of the cards.



HERO ARTS
On Saturday, December 13th, I will be doing demos using the brand-spankin' new Hero Arts stamps from the 2009 catalog! YEAH!!! I LOVE me some Hero Arts. There's only going to be a limited amount of stamps available, so get there earlier. Festivities start at 11:00 am. Oh, this is also happening at Stampin' From the Heart. This demo is FREEEEEEE!!!!!! There aren't any pics because Hero has kept the 2009 line a SECRET, well accept for the sneak peaks on their blog.....I can't wait to get my inky fingers on those stamps!

PINE CONE PRESS CHRISTMAS
On Wednesday, December 17th, at Stamping From the Heart, we'll have a Pine Cone Press Christmas. There's all kinds of projects for you to do - a folio for pictures, 3 cards, and a treat box. All are done using the Pine Cone Press Chillin' line of papers. Cute papers. Call the store to sign up, if interested. Cost is $35 plus the cost of the 12x12 sticker sheet and the folio. Here is a picture of the projects we will be doing....



That's it as far as 2008 classes, other than my Stampin' Up! Hostess Clubs. Looking to add a third club to meet in the Highland Park area. Let me know if you're interested.

January 17th - Chocolate Explosion Box at Stampin' From the Heart - aren't these yummy papers?














February 8th - Heart Acrylic Book at Stampin' From the Heart - This will be a fun book using acrylic shapes and chipboard.
