Ribbon Art

Hello Friends,

Quick share of a card done in last weekend Sale-a-Bration Stamp-a-Stack. This card uses a technique I call, for lack of a better term, Ribbon Art (real creative name!). That's when you fill in the open area of a punched or die cut image with strips of ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi,

I have been gone all week!! So sorry. Well to make it up, I'm going to share a project for each day of the week!! That's 5 projects today!!!!!

But first, a couple of reminders - Still openings for my Stamp-a-Stack and Spotlight class tomorrow and next Friday, respectively. I cut a couple of extra kits for the Stamp-a-Stack and will order the stamps for the Spotlight class on Monday. Let me know if you want to attend.  And don't forget Big Shot this Sunday! All details can be found on my calendar over there on the right side bar!!

Now for the sharing......
The first card is one I received at my upline swap this month. It's by Marie Leyva. It is just beautiful in person. Look out hostess clubs, you will see this one in class...with a slight change of course...you know I can't leave well enough alone!!

This next card is also one I received as a swap from the same upline meeting.
The creator is Kandy Kilgore. As demonstrators, we receive a monthly magazine called Stampin' Success. Sandy said she received inspiriation from a similar card in the magazine. Well, I looked through the same mag and didn't see anything as gorgeous as this. Goes to show you how we all are inspired differently.
This next card was received at the same meeting as the 2 previous cards. This particular card was made using our digital software program called My Digital Studio (MDS). If anyone is interested, I can get you a free 30 day trial of the program. Just send me an email. NEWS FLASH, for my team, I have a teacher coming in to teach us MDS!! More details soon.
Now, here is my swap. My card and the digital card above uses a new set called Bright Blossoms, which is coming out in the new upcoming catalog on June 1st. I got this set for FREE, (Don't you love FREE??!!), at the Manager's Reception, when I attended Leadership Conference back in January. SNEAKY PEAKY!!!!
My last card is also my swap, but this was for my down line attending my Can't Stop Stamping team meeting. This uses the Field Flowers stamp set. I sure hope this set is continued in the catalog next year.

Thanks for stopping by. I've got to finish up my class prep. Hope to see you in class!
Happy stamping!!!

Milestones = Blog Candy!!

This month, all of you helped me to reach a major milestone in my Stampin' Up! career. You all have purchased over $100,000 in product. That, my friends, is an awesome thing!!!!!  Thank you very, very much!!

To celebrate, I am giving away some blog candy! I've got 3 stamp sets to send out to new homes. They will be given to the first 3 people to leave a comment on my blog. Just drop a line to say hi! That's all, easy-peasy. Please leave an email address where I can contact you for your mailing address.
This is a hostess level 3 from the 2010 catalog. It's called Cute as a Button.
Both of these sets are from the current catalog. The first set is a hostess level 3 set called Occasional Quotes. The second set is a level 2 hostess set called Fast and Fabulous.

In the meantime, you need something pretty to look at. The following cards are 2 of the 5 cards to be done in my Hero Arts Stamp-a-Stack. For this Stamp-a-Stack, you will be stamping a stack of 15 cards, 3 each of 5 designs. This class will be held on April 30th at Stampin' From the Heart. Call the store at 310.391.0466 to register.

Stamp-A-Stack Card Share

Hi my stamping friends,

How was your Easter? Hope as relaxing and peaceful as mine. We took the kids to a park where a church was having a picnic. Great food and fun to be had. The girls won the three legged race and to see them rejoice you would think they won the gold medal in the Olympics. It was so hilarious!

Aren't we always a little stumped when we need to create a card for a man? I know I am. Here is one we did at my recent Stamp-a-Stack. Look, no ribbon!!! If you know me, EVERY card has ribbon of some sort! Some of my girls (hello Chris!) are always asking me to tie theirs, and of course I do. No worries with this card.

The card is trimmed just a little bit on the right side opening so that the punched edge shows and will still fit in a regular envelope.

Gotta go....have in my mind to work on black and white thank you cards, adding just a hint of gold Smooch.....hmmmm......

Have a good day! Go stamp something.......
