Flocked Rub-On Ornament and new special

I'm loving the flocked holiday Designer Series Paper found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is very rich and elegant. Love the feel of the raised white flourishes on the paper. This paper is part of the Christmas Cocoa Specialty Designer Series Paper package. The focal image is the fabulous ornament punch with a Merry & Bright Rub-On. This is one of the cards I'll be sending out to family and friends. Who knows, maybe it is on the way to YOU!

Directions:

• Card base - whisper white, 4 -1/4 x 11, front panel cut in half
• Punch the ornament in the lower center of front panel. (Save the punched piece to use in another project!)
• On a scrap of Real Red card stock, a little larger than the size of the ornament, apply a white rub-on ornament from the Merry & Bright Rub-Ons. Attach this piece to the inside of the front panel so that it shows through the punched ornament area.
• The Organza White Ribbon is done in two pieces. You will need about a 3" flat straight piece and a separate bow. Attach the flat straight piece of ribbon from the top of the ornament going straight up and over the top of the card, only gluing down each end.
• On a 4-1/4 x 3" piece of real red card stock, use the scallop edge punch one 4-1/4 edge. Attach to the inside front panel to give a clean and finished look, covering the ribbon end piece and the scrap red card stock.
  
• For the inside sentiment, add a sentiment rub-on to a scrap panel of real red card stock layered onto a scrap whisper white panel.

Razzleberry Snowflake

The pics don't do justice to the richness of the Rich Razzleberry card stock. It's simply luscious! This is another card done my monthly Hostess Club meetings. Actually, after seeing one of the club members, Ellie, put her creative touch to it, I had to re-do mine!

Winter Post Stair Step Card

This is one of the holiday cards done at my monthly Hostess Club. It uses the Winter Post stamp set. The card stock colors are Soft Suede, Bashful Blue, Naturals Ivory, and Real Red. Most of the images are stamped in second and third generation. The scallop square is from the Big Shot bigz die.

Medallion Card and Weekend Special

Love the Medallion stamp! This is a quick and easy, well easy, card. It doesn't show too clearly, but there is Dazzling Diamonds glitter on each of the three dots on the "spokes" and on all the white areas and dots on the center circle. The In-Color Bermuda Bay ink, cardstock, and polka dotted ribbon is used. Punches are the word window and modern label. The center circle is cut-out and raised with dimensionals.

Customer Appreciation Day

This past Saturday was my 2nd Annual Customer Appreciation Day. I so enjoy saying THANK YOU to all of my customers, who are my friends, for putting up with me and coming to all of my events throughout the year. We made these two projects, had lunch, and also a drawing for a free Patterned Pines Hostess Set.

These first project was this pumpkin card. The pumpkin came from an idea I saw at my down line meeting. Don't know who to give credit to for originally designing the little pumpkin. It was shown on a little place card as part of a table setting. Since we all know that my place setting days are over, I took the pumpkin idea and designed a card. One of my guests said it looks like a butterfly....what!!!



Then we made gift card holders. This idea also came from my down line meeting. It was done by Becky Kwon. This uses the Movers and Shapers Die with your choice of magnetic shape. Once you cut the card, fold the long sides in 1/2 ", fold up on the crease and glue the sides together creating a pocket. The next picture is the inside piece for the gift card. Since I didn't have an actual gift card, I just used my Costco card in order to give you an idea on how it works. Gotta improvise!

10 TEN MINUTE CARD SHARE

A week or so ago, I had my 10 Ten Minute Card Class. These were cards designed to be able to be completed in 10 minutes, from start to finish. There were 12 ladies in attendance and we had a good time. Here are two of the cards using the Friends 24-7 set. This is one of my favorite sets in the catalog. BTW, I made a fabulous window box with set of 4 cards using this set. I will show it to you in the next few days.

This card uses the Flourish from the Friends set, as well as, the eyelet border and small tag punch. It's stamped on Kraft card stock using the Soft Suede ink. The tag is Confetti Cream card stock. The ribbon is the Soft Suede polka-dot ribbon.

The second card uses the bird from the Friends set in Chocolate Chip ink. I also used the Sanded background stamp. The paper is Kraft, Confetti Cream, Bashful Blue, and Bashful Blue DSP. The punch is the large oval and the button is from the Button Latte set. Ribbon is Bashful Blue 1/4 grosgrain and natural hemp twine. Oh yes, also the corner rounder punch!

New Class Added

I just added a last minute class to my September schedule. How excited I was to be able to grab this date that was recently vacated by another teacher. I will be teaching a Cuttlebug class at Stampin' From the Heart on Saturday, September 19th at 10:30am.We will make 7 cards. Cost is $40.

Bring your own machine, whether it be Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Big Kick, or Side Kick. If you don't have a machine but still want to take the class, we have 6 machines. You have to sign up at the store and state you need to be provided a machine. And yes, we will use some of the new embossing folders released this summer at CHA!
