Happy New Year!

The New Year is already passing quickly. It's already the 9th and this is my first post of the New Year. I've got a lot planned for this year, so stay close, and hang on for the ride.

Well, let's start with a very cute card I received for the New Year. I have never made New Year cards before. Don't think it has even crossed my mind. But my friend Carole sent me this cute card. I just love it.

Here is a little teaser for you to come to the Big Shot classes. This is one of the projects we made this month. I call it Love Notes. It's a clear box with a set of Love Notes and envelopes made with the Top Note die. The little heart decal is made using the a stick pin from the Pretties Kit and the new scalloped heart embosslit in the new Occasions Mini Catalog.

This picture shows how the envelopes are tucked in the back.

The next Big Shot class is scheduled for February 28th. Come see what projects I have planned. Send me an email if you want to attend or order a kit.

Keep on stamping...

LONG TIME GONE PLUS BIG SHOT PROJECTS

Hi my friends! I'm still here!! So sorry it's been so long since my last post. (If I remember correctly, wasn't I apologizing for this same thing on my last post?) Well, I've been busy with 4 projects for Clearsnap (which I can't share, sorry), my clubs, plus trying to adjust working full time after being off for a year. Glad to have the job! Of course I miss my stamping time, but very thankful to be working again.

I submitted projects for the Stampin' Up! Artesian Award. Sadly, I wasn't one of the lucky ones to be chosen this year. Maybe next time. The requirement was to submit 5 cards, 3 scrapbook pages, and 2 3-D projects. That was a lot to complete. Since I didn't win, I can share those projects with you and will do so in a future post.

So what can I share? Well, I can share some of the projects we've done in the Big Shot class. What a great class. We just have a ball in class. There were 8 people in April's class and 11 in May's class. Next class is on June 28th. Maybe you can join us. Here are a 2 of the 4 projects completed. Both projects highlight the Top Note Bigz Die. It's got to be one of the most versatile dies.

The first project is a swivel card. The base of the card is a pocket, which the top note sits in. You can also put a gift card in the pocket. The the actual card is top note. The card is in two layers, which the top layer flips up or swivels to reveal the message area. I found this idea on the Stampin' Pretty blog by Mary Fish She is one of my faves. The measurements are posted on her blog. The paper is the DSP Parisian Breeze. Love it, but it's retiring and won't be in the next catalog. Other supplies are the Beautiful Butterflies and Matchbox dies and Matchbox Messages stamp set.

The next project is a box made using the Matchbox die and Matchbox Messages stamp set, and Cherry Blossom embosslit die. This project was adapted from Kelly Nicole. She has a great tutorial posted. The DSP is Sweet Always, which is also retiring. Gotta get those papers while you can!

Both projects were a great hit. Hope you enjoy them as well. Remember, if you need any of the supplies used, hop on over to my SU website and shop.

Happy stamping!!!!
