Look what I got!!! How sweet is this??!!! This badge came from Margaret. She has a cute blog. Hop on over to take a look. So who do I pass this to.....take a look.

Margaret - my friend to the heart
Tracy - great inspirational blog, just starting out, also check out her Etsy store
Linda - wonderful mix media artist - I want to be as artistic as her when I grow up!
Karen/Nina - best stamp store around

While driving home from work one day, my eye caught sight of this house sitting up in the hills, surrounded by trees, painted with these colors. The colors were so vibrant peeking out between the green of the hills and trees. I just KNEW I had to use that color combo on a card. So here it is. This was also one of the cards done in our monthly club meeting.

How to's: The flower is made from using the Blooms Die Cut in the SU catalog. The layout uses a sketch from the Stampin' Success Magazine, which is a monthly mag for SU demonstors. The center brad WAS a Kiwi Kiss corduroy button, which we dyed to dark brown. Attempting make the Chocolate Chip color. I know, I know.....there are chocolate chip buttons in the catalog. I could have just ordered some! Well, someone else's world. In my world....I had so many of the Kiwi Kiss brads left over, I was glad to find a way to use them. I had read about dying them on somone elses blog, (who?) so I gave it a try. Simply dip the brad into reinker and dry with a heat gun. Works great! You can use this tip to make custom color brads!

Thanks, Gayle! This is such a cool badge! I know that feeling when you see vibrant colors peeking out from behind trees and bushes. How clever that you took those colors and incorporated them into a card! Goes to show that inspiration comes from all over. Very creative and cute!
